About Healthy Eating & All

Healthy Eating & All is a free library of plain-language guides about food and nutrition. We started it because most of what people find about eating well is either selling something, shaming someone, or written for people who already know the jargon.

Our guides answer the questions people actually type: what a calorie is, how much protein they need, whether the glycemic index matters, what the DASH diet involves. Each one opens with a short, direct answer and then explains the details, with links to the public-health sources behind it.

Who it is for

Everyone. Different bodies, budgets, cultures, kitchens and goals. We do not assume you want to lose weight, and we never treat food as a moral question.

The team

  • Rosa Delgado, editor: Rosa edits Healthy Eating & All. She writes about everyday nutrition in plain language and keeps the library friendly to every body, budget and kitchen.
  • Sam Akintola, staff writer: Sam covers nutrients, diets and the apps people use to keep track of what they eat, with a focus on what actually fits into a busy week.
  • Imani Brooks, contributing writer: Imani writes about eating styles, cooking on a budget and building habits that last longer than a January resolution.

Tracking apps

Some readers want to log what they eat. For them we keep three app guides up to date: calorie counting, calorie tracking and food tracking. We do not accept payment for placement in those guides, and our explainer guides do not promote any product.
